Jack Stephen Spitulnik

At age 75, died Sunday, May 7, 2017 at the Sarasota Memorial Hospital following a courageous battle with cancer. He leaves his wife of 48 years, Gail (Rousso); his daughter Stacy Mohr and her husband Aaron Mohr, son, Aric Spitulnik and his wife, Karleen; his 2 loving grandchildren Ben and Jonah; his sister Arlene and her husband Barry Jablon and many close friends and family. 

Born and raised in Hornell, New York the son of Benjamin and Dorothy. He was a long time resident of Rochester before spending most of his retirement years with Gail in Siesta Key, Florida. After graduating from North Hornell High School, he attended Alfred and Geneseo Universities earning a Masters Degree. He began a 30 year distinguished teaching career in 1965, teaching mostly eighth grade math and heading up the math department at Dake school.  He met his wife, Gail, on a trip to Rochester and they were married in 1968. He enjoyed spending time with family, especially on the beautiful beach on Siesta Key.

A Graveside Service will be held WEDNESDAY May 10, 2017 at White Haven Memorial Park at 1pm.  

The family will be receiving visitors at The Clubhouse at Surrey Hill, 1000 Surrey Way Drive from 7-9pm on May 10 and from 2-4pm and 7-9pm on May 11.
